What is the manufacturing capacity of Hindalco Extrusions?
Hindalco Extrusions has a manufacturing capacity of 46,000 tpa of aluminium extrusions.
What kind of manufacturing facilities do you have?
Hindalco Extrusions boasts of state-of-the-art machinery with the latest technology. We have six presses in Renukoot and Alupuram:

Are you into exports? What are the markets you are exporting to?
Hindalco products are exported to various countries and the export performance has been recording healthy growth. We have received many awards from the Engineering Export Promotion Council and other government agencies for excellent growth in exports. We export extrusions primarily to the USA, Canada, Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden , Poland, South Africa, the UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Which aluminium alloys does Hindalco supply?
We can offer extrusion in alloys 6005, 6060, 6061, 6063, 6066, 6082, 6101, 6351, 1050, 1060, 1070, 2014, 2017, 2014, 5052, 5083, 5086, 7018, 7039, 7075, 3003, 4043, 4047 plus customised alloys for special applications. Click here for detailed specifications.
Can material be supplied in specific cut lengths?
Yes. Hindalco has the capability to supply extrusions with lengths varying from 94 mm to 13,500 mm. Usually the sections are supplied in lengths of 3-4 m, but the feasible length of supply will depend on alloy, complexity of section etc. Please do check with us on specifics.
Can you supply sheets and coils?

What is the aluminium alloy generally used for architectural sections?
The alloy used for extrusion in architecture is 6063 'T6' equivalent to IS:HE9(63400)WP and ALCAN 505 'WP'
Are the billets ultrasonically tested? Can you supply ultrasonically tested extruded products?
Ultrasonic testing is carried out on billets against specific request from customers at an extra cost. We have the capability of testing extruded sections, but this will strictly be based on need, and will bear a higher cost.
Do you manufacture aeronautical grade of alloys?
Hindalco can supply certain aeronautical alloys, subject to MOQ. We make a wide range of special alloys that cover a spectrum of end uses.
Can we have a catalogue of your range and price-list for all sections?
You may select the section of your choice from the web-catalogue and contact our branch office. Our branch office will send you a formal quotation at the earliest. If you are unable to find the section required by you in our web catalogue, please mail us a fully dimensioned sketch of the profile, giving details of alloy, temper, length etc, and we will quote for the same.
What is your after-sales-service mechanism?
The material is subject to thorough inspection before dispatch, as per our general inspection plan. If there are any complaints, the same will be attended to by the sales and marketing team of Hindalco and settled within minimum possible time.
What are the terms and conditions for new die development?
We can cut new dies, subject to our manufacturing capability. Kindly mail a fully dimensioned sketch to our branch office in your area, with details of alloy, quantity, length and end-use application. New dies can be cut on exclusive or non-exclusive basis subject to payment of part, die tool development charges and a minimum annual offtake fixed based on the section being developed.
Can you supply exactly those quantities ordered?
The tolerance on supply will be +/- 10 per cent of ordered quantity.
What is the minimum order quantity to be supplied in one lot?
M.O.Q generally for an existing die will be 250 kg for an alloy that is in our regular range of production. For new dies and special alloys kindly do check with us.
What are the packing methods used by you?
Normally, our sections are stretch wrapped and packed in HDPE in our automated packing station. The nominal weight will be about 100 kg per bundle. We can do wooden box packing or any other type of customised packing based on need at an extra cost.
What is the lead time required to execute an order?
For existing profiles it will be 3-4 weeks from the date of receipt of the technically and commercially clear order. New profiles will take about 4-6 weeks.
How do we get your price list for aluminium extrusions?
We do not have a ready made printed price list because the ex-works rate of our extruded sections depend on the complexity of section, alloy used, preferred temper, cut length, special technical requirements etc. Kindly send the enquiry to our branch office, so that the quotation for your requirement can be given.
Do you have a dealer network? Do you sell directly or through dealers?
We have a large dealer network. You may please contact our branch office in your area to get the names and addresses. We can supply sections directly. For smaller lots, please contact our traders through our branch office in your area of operation.
How do I determine which is the right aluminium alloy for my part?
Our sales and marketing team attached to the branch office in your area will be able to guide you in selection of the alloys based on the applications or please feel free to email us with your queries.
What is the maximum size of extrusion that can be supplied by you?
We make sections with size varying from 6 mm to 330 mm wide. However extrudability depends on various parameters like alloy, temper, complexity of profile etc and our sales team will be able to guide you on this matter after receipt of your actual requirement.
