Bauxite
Bauxite is an ore used in the production of
alumina. In the mines located in the eastern
region, there are pockets of good quality bauxite
that can be used for various purposes in various
industries, such as refractories, steel, polishing
and for manufacturing water-treatment chemicals.
The ore is graded as per segment requirements.
Low grade bauxite
Low grade bauxite is an ore with a lower percentage
of alumina content that occurs just above the
bauxite layers at the mines in the western region
of India. It is used as a raw material by cement
industries as an additive / flux to increase
the alumina percentage in the cement composition.
Low grade bauxite can be supplied in particle
sizes ranging from 50 to 150 mm. The alumina
content of the product is around 36 to 43 per
cent.
